​Terms & Conditions

Eligibility

  • Children must be aged 8 – 12 years.
  • Each child must attend with their own family dog (no borrowed dogs).
  • Dogs must be friendly, non-reactive and up to date on vaccinations.
  • Only one dog per child may attend.


Supervision

  • All children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times during training sessions.
  • A parent or caregiver must remain onsite and responsible for their child and dog throughout the workshop.
  • The trainer provides guidance, but the parent/caregiver is ultimately responsible for their child’s and dog’s safety and behaviour.


 Dog behaviour and safety

  • Dog must arrive on a secure lead (no retractable leads) and must be kept on lead at all times unless directed otherwise by the trainer.
  • Children and dogs will be allocated a personal “island” space to ensure comfort and safety.  Please maintain 2m distance away from other dogs.
  • Any dog showing signs of aggression, excessive stress, or unsafe behaviour may be asked to leave the session for the wellbeing of the others.
  • You are responsible for cleaning up after your dog should they go to the toilet.


 Payments & Cancellations

  • For any classes / workshops booked, the charge is required upfront to reserve your space.  If payment has not been received, your space will not be held.

  • Cancellations made more than 7 days prior to the start date will receive a full refund.
  • Cancellations made within 7 days are non-refundable unless the spot can be filled.
  • If you fail to attend any training classes / workshops that you have paid for, the full fee is retained by Take My Lead Dog Walking Services.  No refunds are offered.
  • If the trainer needs to cancel a session (e.g. due to weather for outdoor classes), a make-up session or refund will be offered.


 Liability

  • Please follow all instructions at all times, including all safety instructions and instructions for the proper use of all dog training equipment.

  • While all reasonable steps are taken to ensure safety, participation is at your own risk.
  • By choosing to attend, you agree to take full responsibility for your own safety, the safety of all parties accompanying you and the safety of your dog.  We accept no responsibility for any damage to, theft of, or from your vehicle.  Please do not leave valuables in your car and never leave dogs unattended in a vehicle.


 Photography & Media

  • Photos or videos may be taken during the workshop for educational or promotional purposes.

  • Please advise in writing if you do not consent to your child or dog being included.
